As a common extruder, the single-screw extruder is mainly used to extrude thermoplastics such as soft polyvinyl chloride, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., and can also be used for granulation. The plastic extruder has an advanced design, high quality, good plasticization, and low energy consumption. It adopts involute gear transmission, which has the characteristics of low noise, stable operation, large bearing capacity, and long service life.
The maintenance process of a single screw extruder is generally divided into daily maintenance and regular maintenance:
Routine maintenance:regular routine work, which does not occupy the operating hours of the equipment, is usually completed during driving. The key is to clean the machine, lubricate the moving parts, tighten the loose threaded parts, and check and adjust the motor, control instruments, working parts, and pipelines in time.
Regular maintenance: Generally, the extruder will be stopped after running for 2500-5000 hours continuously. The machine needs to be disassembled to check, measure, and identify the wear of the main parts, replace the parts that have reached the specified wear limit, and repair the damaged parts.
The two maintenance processes complement each other and are indispensable. The following will introduce the details that need to be paid attention to in the daily maintenance of the single screw extruder:
Daily maintenance:
1. Since the electrical control system has high requirements for ambient temperature and dust prevention, the electrical system should be isolated from the production site, and ventilation or ventilation fans should be installed. It is recommended to place the electrical control cabinet in a simple room to keep the room clean and Ventilated so that the indoor temperature is not higher than 40℃.
2. The single-screw extruder is not allowed to run empty,so as to prevent the screw and the machine from rolling. When the main engine starts idling, it is not allowed to exceed 100r/min; when starting the main engine, firstly at a low speed, after starting the main engine, check whether there is any abnormal noise, and then slowly increase the main engine speed to within the allowable range of the process(it is better to adjust to the best state). When the new machine is running in, the current load should be 60-70%, and the current in normal use should preferably not exceed 90%.Note: If an abnormal sound occurs when the extruder is running, it should be stopped immediately for inspection or repair.
3. Start the oil pump first, and then turn off the oil pump after shutting it down; the water pump keeps working during the whole production process, and the operation of the water pump cannot be stopped to avoid the decomposition and carbonization of the material in the barrel caused by the rise of the barrel temperature; the asbestos hood of the main motor fan needs to be Frequent cleaning to avoid excessive dust adhesion and clogging the air hood, resulting in insufficient heat dissipation of the motor and tripping due to overheating.
4. Clean up the dirt, tools, and sundries on the surface of the unit in time.
5. Strictly prevent metal or other sundries from falling into the hopper, so as not to damage the screw and barrel.In order to prevent iron debris from entering the barrel, a magnetic part or a magnetic frame can be installed where the material enters the feeding port of the barrel, and the material must be screened in advance to prevent debris from falling into the barrel.
6. Pay attention to the cleanliness of the production environment, and do not allow garbage impurities to be mixed into the material to block the filter plate, which will affect the output and quality of the product and increase the resistance of the machine head.
7. The gearbox should use the lubricating oil specified in the machine manual, and add oil according to the specified oil level height. Too little oil will cause insufficient lubrication and reduce the service life of parts; Perishable, also make lubrication ineffective, resulting in damage to parts. The sealing gasket(ring)should be replaced in time for the oil leakage part of the gearbox to ensure the amount of lubricating oil.
Regular maintenance:
1. Regularly check whether the screws and other fasteners on the surface of the unit are loose or not. The lubricating oil level of the transmission case should be added or replaced in time(the dirt at the bottom of the oil tank should be cleaned regularly). For new machines, the oil is usually changed every 3 months, and then every six months to one year. The oil filter and suction pipe should be cleaned regularly(once a month).
2. The maintenance of the reducer of the single screw extruder is the same as that of the general standard reducer. It is mainly to check the wear and failure of gears, bearings, etc.
3. When reinstalling, please note that the two screws A and B must be in their original positions and cannot be replaced! After the newly assembled screw is installed on the machine, it must be turned by hand first. If it rotates normally, it can be turned on at a low speed. When the screw or barrel is not used for a long time, anti-rust and anti-fouling measures should be taken, and the screw should be suspended. If the threaded block is burned with fire, the flame should move left and right, and clean it while burning. Don't over-burn(the blue-ring will turn red), and don't put the threaded block in water.
4. Regularly calibrate the temperature control instrument to check the correctness of its adjustment and the sensitivity of the control.
5. Distilled water must be used in the cooling water tank in the barrel to prevent the formation of scale to block the cooling water channel in the barrel and cause temperature failure. During use, pay attention to adding water appropriately to prevent scaling. If it is blocked, the cylinder should be replaced for specific maintenance. If there is no blockage and the water output is small, it indicates that there is scale. The water in the water tank should be replaced with dilute hydrochloric acid and circulated, and the scale should be cleaned to normal and then replaced with distilled water. The water in the general water tank is used to cool the barrel, and the natural water we pass through is used to cool the water tank. Check the water quality of the cooling water tank regularly, if it is turbid, it should be replaced in time.
6. Check whether the solenoid valve works normally, whether the coil is burnt out, and if so, replace it in time.
7. Possible reasons for the temperature not rising or the temperature continuing to rise and fall: whether the solar couple is loose; whether the heater relay works normally; whether the solenoid valve works normally, replace the deformed heater in time, and fasten the screws.
8. Clean up the dirt in the vacuum tank in time and the materials in the exhaust chamber to make the pipeline unblocked. If the sealing ring of the vacuum pump is worn, it needs to be replaced in time and checked regularly. The runout of the output shaft must be caused by bearing damage and the shaft has been broken. It must be replaced out of the box. Failure loss.
9. For the DC motor that drives the screw to rotate, it is necessary to focus on checking the wear and contact of the brushes. It should also be frequently measured whether the insulation resistance value of the motor is above the specified value. In addition, check whether the connecting wire and other parts are rusted, and take protective measures.
10. When the single-screw extruder needs to be stopped for a long time, anti-rust grease should be applied to the working surfaces of the screw, machine, and head. The small screw should be suspended in the air or placed in a special wooden box and should be leveled with a wooden block to prevent the screw from being deformed or bruised.
11. The inner wall of the cooling water pipe attached to the single-screw extruder is easy to scale and the outside is easy to corrode and rust. Careful inspection should be done during maintenance. Excessive scale will block the pipeline, and the cooling effect will not be achieved. If the rust is serious, water will leak. Therefore, scale removal and anti-corrosion cooling measures must be taken during maintenance.
12. Designate a person to be responsible for equipment maintenance. The detailed records of each maintenance and repair are listed in the factory equipment management file.
